In the municipality of Gullspång

Amnehärads Hembygdsförening, conducts local history work in the old Amnehärads parish in Gullspång municipality. The association organizes various activities and has a website with many scanned older pictures and other exciting information about the old Gullspång. You can find the website here.

Frans G Bengtsson's library. 1939 the author Frans G. Bengtsson marries Gerda Fineman. They settle down at Ribbingsfors manor, where she grew up. Here he continues to write the adventure novel Röde Orm, which he started in Lund. It was published in two volumes in the first half of the 1940s and became a success, with editions that surpassed anything Sweden had experienced before. At Gullspång's library you can visit Frans G Bengtsson's library. Frans G Bengtsson is buried in Amnehärads cemetery. Amnehärads church also has medieval origins and is well worth a visit.
